Monasteries and churches as well as early Celtic churches were built across Northern Ireland in the centuries after Saint Patrick's death. The sites of some present day churches and cathedrals were chosen as links to places of earlier Christian worship. Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Armagh stands where Patrick's original church was built.
National Museums of Northern Ireland advertise themselves as NI's premier cultural, learning and tourist attractions, and it's no far from the truth. They care for and present magnificent collections that reflect history and culture of Northern Ireland and it's people. There's something for everybody.
