Founded in 1899, this part-seaside and partopen
parkland course has several lurking
water hazards to catch the unthinking shot.
The eighteenth is an intimidating finishing
hole with out of bounds on both left and right,
while the sea breeze can wreak havoc with
club selection. This area of the County Down
coastline provides wonderful views over the nearby Copeland Islands. The sixteenth tee
is also a great vantage point with the hills
of south-west Scotland visibly seen in the
distance on a clear day.
