The Owenkillew is a medium sized (5-20m) river, well known for its sea trout and salmon fishing. Fishing is productive at any time throughout the season, although the best of the sea trout may be over by August. There is plenty of good water for fly fishing but spinning and worming are also permitted. While fish can enter the lower regions of the river at any time some fresh water always helps to disperse them through the entire river.
