This fishery is set in low lying farmland and has abundant fly and water life. The hatches of buzzer and sedge can provide spectacular evening ‘rises’ and lures work well at various depths. The shore is varied with large stony areas the eastern and southern sides. A premier stocked brown and rainbow water, the lake will fish all season. It is stocked annually with takeable fish as well as fingerlings. Fish overwinter well and grow to 3 kilos or more. There are two car parks. A lough shore pathway on almost all the northern shore allows for good access. Where access is difficult fishing stands have been provided. There are some patches of marl underlying the stones and care should be taken when wading.
